About

James D. Sulivan

Dr. James D. Sullivan (DBA, MBA, MA) never planned to be an author. In the summer of 1994, a dugout bet with his Bristol Bombers teammates “I should write a book about you idiots” sat untouched for thirty years. Then life reminded him how fast time flies. A lifelong “guy’s guy” who loves sports, travel, cold pints, and real stories, Jim finally finished the heartfelt, laugh-out-loud tale he started at twenty-six. When he’s not writing, he’s coaching youth basketball, running his own business, hitting the gym, or chasing new cultures and cuisines always guided by the sign on his office wall: “We will never see this day again. Make it count.”

At the center of the tale is the Bristol Bombersa team of colorful personalities including Leo “The Franchise,” Willie “Holy White Lobster,” River “Brother Love,” Johnny “Forrest,” Bobby “The Stick,” and Coach Jake “Skip.” Together, they create a dynamic blend of humor, heart, and chaos that defines the Bombers’ legacy.
